Mr. Robert Patterson, Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient was the special guest at the Chicago Public Schools, Department of JROTC, City Corps Staff Command briefing that took place at 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Pritzker Military Library downtown Chicago on Wednesday 21 April 2010.

The Tawani foundation sponsored the annual City Corps Cadet Command briefing at the Pritzker Military Library. This City Corps Cadet command briefing is designed to provide a state of the JROTC program update. Attendance included Special guest Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient Robert M. Patterson, LTC (Ret) Kim Harrell, Director of JROTC, Mr. Edward Tracy, Tawani foundation, and a host of family and friends. There was a reception prior to the briefing also held in the Pritzker Library, where the invited guest and cadets mingled.

Special guest Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Mr. Robert Patterson, gave words of encouragement to the cadets and commended them for their professionalism and delivery of the briefing. He said that he would place their briefing abilities as high as any he has witnessed and above many others. LTC (Ret) Kim Harrell, Director of JROTC also provided some laudatory remarks to the cadets for their proficiency and positive attitudes.
