Annual CPS Citywide Middle School
Cadet Corps Drill and Color Guard Competition
The Chicago Public Schools, Area 26 Military Schools and JROTC Annual Citywide Drill/Color Guard Competition was held on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Carver Military Academy. They were “Stepping for Accuracy” to gain titles such “Top Drill Platoon”, “Top Color Guard Team” and “Overall Best in the City”. The Middle School Cadets worked long and arduous hours preparing for this special day. The competition also included a "Knock-Out Drill". Parents, fellow students and guests were in attendance and showed a tremendous. The teams looked great and performed in an outstanding manner. The attendance and support by family, and friends was awesome. The cadets worked long and hard and it showed that they were all winners. A special thanks to Carver Military Academy for hosting the event, to SFC Garrett for great competition planning/execution and to all who supported the competition... More
